In response to the original post..

They could not ruin what I thought of other human beings.(Not for lack of trying).Just made me want to join them..(The other human beings)

I felt the same as another poster..I too felt like the normal human being was "Normal" ..with a small percentage being really bad..and some smaller precentage being..extremely good..

Snoozy...who we all know is in the latter group...

DFW Apostates: 20 bands, 10 bucks, great cause

dfw folks, rahim, who most of you met at the last apostafest, has organized a concert tomorrow (saturday) to benefit his bass player who has hodgkins lymphoma.

it's at club dada and it should be a great show.

details in the dmn article below (or in the guide section of the morning news):.

Poor guy..my daughter had a lump removed from her neck also..but luckily she had insurance..and disability. We were on pins and needles waiting for the test results..they take their time getting back to you..in the meantime you have imagined every known disease there is!

Luckily she was OK..it wasn't real good news but at least it wasn't untreatable.

I'm really showing my age here..but I never heard of any of those bands,,,,

i, for instance, am twenty-eight years old (ignore the avatar) and am still called "young man" to this day, by both people i"ve met in person as well as on this message board.

is it really my age?

2 witness rule

a few months ago i read a terrific refutation of the 2 witness rule.

i don't remember if it was a post on this forum or an article on another website, but i'd love to find it again.

it showed scriptually and logically how deut 19:15 has been inappropriately applied, especially to child abuse cases.

Do you ever think that you will stop JW-bashing and get on with your life?

i was recently talking to a girl in my psychology class who told me that she use to be a jw and was df'd in the mid 1990's.

this girl shocked me because usually ex-jws are so unhappy and miserable and spend most of their time complaining about the "evil" wt society.

she told me that when she was df'd alot of ex-jws swarmed towards her trying to get her to "bash" the wt but she refused.

I really don't think that girl is being totally honest with herself..unless she hates her relatives that are JW's.

How can you not be upset when your relatives turn their back on you?

If that truly doesn't bother her..she really has a problem.

After I left..that was it. I never really thought that much about it.But when hubby decide to be an active JW again..it was being shoved down my throat! Then I got angry.

And because I care about others..reading about what some Ex-Jehovah's witnesses go through on a daily basis..breaks my heart!

Knowing that your relatives have to consider you "Dead" has to hurt in some way. How can it not? Especially if you live with them.

Or the parents that once loved and nurtured you..turn their back on you..wouldn''t this hurt a "Normal" human being?

Maybe the love wasn't there to begin with..

You just brought back some bad memories for me!

When my dad passed away..I had to handle his estate. He had a lot of old coins and I had to sell them before the estate could be closed. Which meant I had to let them go for practically nothing!

I didn't know beans about computers then and I just ended up taking them to a coin dealer.

As executor I felt like everything would be gone over by the courts so I documented evertyhing...

Well I know some of those coins would have went for a lot of money..Dad wouldn't have kept them otherwise.

And now I know you just don't have to report "Everything"..they don't check.

They just want to make sure any debts are paid within a year.

If I held them out I could have got a lot more for them..Darn those JW's for making me be so honest!

My brother was really mad because I told probate about coins so I had to show they were sold..

Anyone ever eat those Pop Rocks?

You bite into them and they explode in your mouth!

Grandkids had them and played a joke on me!

They always hide their candy in their drawers..but I fool them..I clean their drawers and organize them and take a little reward for myself!

Seems like they aways have Easter and Christmas and halloween candy stashed..they don't eat much of it..just hide it!..But I find it!

All the bunny ears are missing..and the tails..

Generation of 1914 gone!

is the generation that saw 1914, now dead and gone?.

if they were born in 1900, they'd be 105 now and there are not many of these people left.. if they were born in 1914 they'd be 91 and there are not many of these left either.. can we say that the early light of russell and rutherford, and nathor knowrr is well and truly disproved?.

can we say it's just a matter of time before the new light is also disproved?.
